I have traveled abroad with my family several times. When I went to the sea there, I was able to experience various marine sports. Still, there are many things I haven’t done yet. So I would like to investigate various types and popularity of marine sports.

5. The beautiful sea in the world

1. Definition

Marine sports is a general term for sports performed in the ocean. This includes both those done on water and those done underwater. Others, such as ships and boards, are done with tools. Unlike pools, it is characterized by using and controlling the　environment that changes from moment to moment in nature.

2. Various types

There are various types of marine sports. Well-known are banana boats and surfing. Others that use the latest machines include jet skis and water skis as shown in the photo. The total number is said to be about 30. Of these, about half of the marine sports can be done in Japan, so if you want to experience various marine sports, it is better to go abroad.

3. Amount of money

The price of marine sports varies dpending on the item. Some of them cost around 2000 yen and some cost more than 50,000 yen. Some things require tools, so it costs a lot of money to do it once. So it may be expensive for students to do. So you should do it after you grow up to get started in earnest. If you go to the sea, you should choose a cheap one and enjoy it.

4. scuba diving

I chose marine sports as the theme this time because I wanted to try scuba diving. First of all, scuba diving is a marine leisure where you can enjoy the underwater world while carrying an air-filled tank on your back and breathing underwater. You need a license to have this experience. By obtaining a license, you can scuba dive in any country overseas.

One of the attractions of scuba diving is that I can learn more about the ocean, which occupies 70% of the world. So in the future I would like to do scuba diving all over the world.

5. The beautiful sea in the world

You have to go to the sea to play marine sports. In such a case, the sea should be as clean as possible. There are several famous seas in the world. One of the famous places is Hawaii. This is a place that many people know. A lesser-known place is the Maldives. This is a rustic beach resort that only divers knew until 20 years ago. In the future, I would like to do marine sports in such a famous and beautiful sea.
